The 2007 Rosso Metodo Classico entices with a dark, complex bouquet of crushed black cherries, underbrush, rose petals and spice. Its silken, creamy feel is offset by zesty acidity, as ripe wild berries and fruits mix with tart citrus. The 2007 finishes with amazing length and depth, leaving a fresh sensation as violet inner florals and worn leather fade slowly. This is really quite special and mature. I can’t help but think of the 2007 as a Barolo-lovers’ Lambrusco.
